Pastor Sylvester “Bill” Jones

 

Sylvester Jones an ex-gambler-merchant seaman was converted on June 12, 1952. On March 28, 1953, the Lord Jesus counted him worthy and called him to preach the Gospel. Bro. Bill was a compassionate, caring, Christian man who spent his life’s earnings to benefit the homeless. With his trust placed in the hands of the Associate Ministries, Bro. Bill did several years of evangelist work in Africa.

 

During his early ministry, he met and married Lottie Carraway, Dean of Women at Huston-Tillotson College, who worked harmoniously with Bro. Bill in fulfilling his vision. On January 22, 1998 he made his transition to rest with the Lord.
